冬の寒さが厳しさを増しているウクライナに「暖と希望を」届けましょう！
中央に押印しているのは、大日如来さまの梵字です。金城寺のご本尊さまであり、宇宙そのものである大日如来さまの梵字を押して、この世界で起こっている悲しい戦争がなくなるよう祈りを込めています。
手ぶくろの柄は「ソロチカ」というウクライナの女性が着る民族衣装に施された刺繍を参考にしています。
白地に赤の刺繍が伝統的な配色で、植物や動物、大地とのつながりを抽象的に表したモチーフや幾何学模様の刺繍がほどこされています。刺繍には、病気や悪霊などの「悪しきもの」から身を護るための 「魔除け」の意味があります。
刺繍の方法は200種ほどあり、模様にいたっては数千あるといわれています。
美しいソロチカについて調べれば調べるほど、ますます素晴らしい伝統に感動しました。

ウクライナ民話から生まれた絵本『てぶくろ』を意識して手ぶくろを描きました。

ウクライナ支援寄付御朱印に込める想いを世界中にも伝えたいと思い、英語でも込める想いや志穂料について書きました。
I wrote about passion and Goshuin fee(志穂料 Shiho-ryo) in English because I would like to convey the passion for the goshuin to support Ukraine to all over the world.
Passion
Let’s send some warmth and hope to Ukraine in the middle of harsh winter!
The red seal Bonji(Sanskrit character) stamp in the middle symbolizes Dainichi Buddha. Dainichi Buddha is the main character of our Kinjoji temple and the very existence of universe. We pray for world peace with the Bonji stamp.
The pattern on mittens is based on embroidery on “Sorochka” which is the traditional wear of Ukraine.
The combination of white background and red embroidery is the traditional color scheme. They embroider plants, animals, geometric design and the motifs which express the connection with the earth in abstract way. The embroidery has the power of talisman and it will save you from bad things like diseases and evil spirit.
It is said that the ways to embroider exist more than 200; furthermore, it is said that the patterns exist thousands!
The more I learn the pictures and history of Sorochka the more I was impressed by the great translation of it.
I drew this goshuin with the big respect for the great Ukrainian translation.
I hope the time will soon come when hope like the warm and bright sun which shines the mittens can be brought to the whole world.
